Classic Hummus

An easy five-ingredient recipe for classic hummus featuring fresh garlic, lemon juice, and a secret ingredient!

Ingredients

  • 1 Cup Garbanzo Beans, Drained (250g)
  • 3/4 Tbsp Tahini
  • 1 Tbsp Lemon Juice
  • 1.5 Tsp Yellow Miso Paste
  • 2 Cloves Garlic
  • Water (if needed)

Instructions

  1. Put all ingredients in a blender or food processor and blend until smooth.
  2. Add 1-2 tbsp of water if you desire a thinner consistency. 

  3. Serve with your favorite veggies, on top of a salad, in a grain bowl, or with whatever you'd like!

Notes

  • Why use miso paste? Because unlike salt, it actually lowers your risk of hypertension due to the soy. Plus it tastes great in hummus. Learn all about it on NutritionFacts.org
